Age Policy

We recommend 18 and up for adult classes. You must be 21 years or older and be able to prove age with a valid ID to consume alcohol.

General Cancellation Policy

By signing up, the agreed-upon canceling guidelines is that no refund can be made to anyone canceling class ten days prior to the class date.  Cancellations made within the 10 days, but more than 48 hours’ notice may reschedule the class with no fee. Cancellations made within 48 hours, including the day of are subject to a $20 rescheduling fee. We’re sorry, but we do not give refunds or issue credits for ‘no shows’.

Our teachers and staff are scheduled 2 weeks in advance based on class/event sign ups and still need to be compensated if there are last minute cancellations as they have planned their schedules around your class/event.

Goods Refund Policy

If there is an problem with your order, please contact us immediately.

Due to the nature of the ceramic goods, returns or exchanges are not available unless the product is was sent damaged or defective.

For a return product must be in new or unused condition.

We will inspect all returned items and will refund you based on the condition of the item.

If you receive a damaged parcel or defective goods please contact us immediately. We ask that you return goods within 14 days of receipt of goods.

After School Program

Due to careful planning and project preparation we have changed our terms to the following:

Age Policy

Must be 6 years old before the 1st week of the program to enroll. This program is designed for 6-13 years olds.

Refund Policy

First, we would like to encourage you to simply move to another session. However, we understand that things come up and you may need to cancel all together. To do so, please email us with this information.
$50.00 is not refundable or transferable at any time unless it is a medical reason (must have written explanation from Doctor).
If you cancel with more than 30 days till the week start date, then you will receive all money paid EXCEPT $50
15-30 days until the week start date, 50% refund
2 weeks prior to start of the session = NO REFUND
Any refunds will be issued in the same manner payment was made.

No Refunds will be made if your child can not attend 1 or more classes after the program begins for any reason.

Medical reason for cancellation

We understand that medical issues may arise over the course of the program or just as your child is set to attend.  Please call us as soon as possible to inform us of your need to cancel.  We will ask that you submit a written excuse from your child’s physician.  If your child is sick and there is time and room, we will work with you to switch your child to another session. 

 

Art Camp

We understand that medical issues may arise over the summer or just as your child is set to attend camp.  Please call us as soon as possible to inform us of your need to cancel.  We will ask that you submit a written excuse from your child’s physician.  If your child is sick and there is time and room, we will work with you to switch your camper to a later session. 

 

Birthday Parties

  • We ask for a minimum of 8 guests for the party discount. If you have less than 8 guests our standard rates will apply.
  •  The $35 Deposit you make today covers the party fee, holds your reservation and is non-refundable.
  • The balance is due the day of your party and is determined by the number of guest artists who attend.
  •  If you need to cancel the party for an unseen event such as your child becoming sick. You may choose to reschedule your party. We will apply the party fee for another date up to 1 year. Again, this fee is non-refundable.
  • Each party is 2 hours long. A second party slot can be purchased for $100 to extend to 4.50 hours.
  • We ask that the hosts show up no more than 15 minutes before the party for any set up needs.
  • The party will end promptly, leaving the hosts 15 minutes to pack up the party.
  •  Feel free to bring in any personal decorations to make your party special. Table cloths are not necessary.
  • If Pizza is ordered we will have delivered on the 2nd hour of the party. We will supply generic paper plates and napkins for the pizza if ordered with us.
  • JCA will supply all items necessary for the craft.
  •  Hosts will supply all the paper goods necessary for your party, such as plates, cups, utensils, (unless we are providing) candles, any decorations, party favors, snack or drinks.
  •  During the party your guests will be asked to stay in the party area unless they need to use the bathrooms or are instructed to do so by JCA staff.
  • Parents are welcome to stay however space is limited and JCA may ask parents to either stand or wait outside. We encourage drop offs. There are many restaurant’s and coffee shops close by such as: Barrett’s, Cape Cod Café, Chatter Box, 99, Better Bean, and Dunkin’ to name a few of our favorites.
  •  For parties that are not take home same day; Items will be ready for pick up in 10-14 days. We will call the host when ready. All items will be individually wrapped with guest’s names written on the outside.

 

Clay Classes

JCA will take all precautions to ensure pieces will be successful, however if there are any air pockets in the pieces or if attachments are not slip & scored properly, some pieces may not make it through the firing process. 

JCA will not replace pieces that do not make it through the firing.

Kids Class Cancellation Policy (Clay, Canvas and Kids Night)

Kids Night
Kids can pick any pottery piece they would like. If the cost is greater then $13, you pay the difference. (Example: the pottery piece is $17, kids night cost is $24.00 plus tax)
